Jason Ramos is a Student at University of the Pacific and is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Studio Art. His main interest of work is concept art for digital media and photography. Jason wishes to create work that show cases fantasy and adventure. His art work and photography is aimed to inspire his viewers to explore the world and seek out adventurous activities.

As a child I’ve always had a deep appreciation of cartoons such as Naruto and Bleach, and these influences are displayed in the Artwork I create. My main interest is in Animation, Game Design and Concept Art because it brings together my artistic interests such as 3D modeling, Observational drawing, and Photography. In my most recent 3D modeling project I was inspired by the video game Halo to recreate one of its assets. By recreating works from other games I can learn and become even more creative when designing my own concepts. Much of the creative process does take time. I browse websites such as “Pixiv”, “Artstation” and “Instagram” for more inspiration and it is one of the first things I do before creating a new art piece. Observing the details of others gives me ideas of how to construct my own designs. What I really want others to gather from my art work is a sense of adventure and fantasy.  My current works of art are inspired by 2D illustrators such as Stanley Lau and Z.W. Gu who illustrate fantasy like characters. I hope to design the same level of work as theirs and create fantasy theme artwork that both the Anime and Video Game community would enjoy.
